Cat was launched out of the portal and fell. Then she fell again. And again. In fact, it was just one continuous fall, since she had told Jerm to set the portal opening over the Lake.

A redhead with bright blue eyes, elongated pointy ears, and farm attire glanced up from her milk wagon.

"What in Nayru's name...?"

Meanwhile, another girl toppled abruptly from the sky, landing in the water with flailing arms and legs, and a gargled shriek.

Malon stopped the cart.

Now, as we all know, cats+water=spaz attack. Cat, being parly catlike thanks to Jerm, had a coniption fit as she clawed her way onto a small island. "Geez...I'm never doing that again..."

Marie made her way with even strokes, and commenced wringing her hair out.

"I'm beginning to think he enjoys this," she said, thinking of Jerm irritably.

"It wasn't his idea," Cat said, shaking her hands disgustedly. "It was mine, in case Tepis tried to escape. He'd have to grow wings to get up there."

Marie shrugged, but her indifference was quickly replaced by giddiness. "So...what's up first?"

"I get dry," Cat muttered, looking at her sopping self. "Then we get our bearings, unless--" she watched Marie dart off. "--or not."

Marie had located a small boat, and was in the process of untying it.

"Come on, Cat!" she yelled, drumming on the water with her paddle impatiently

"More water...lovely..." She inched into the boat, grabbing the sides as it rocked. "Okay, I'm ready. The sooner we get to shore, the better."

The boat shot forth with an amazing amount of strength on Marie's part, which most likely had to do with her anxiety to get to shore and explore Hyrule

Malon squinted her eyes and watched as the boat drew closer...should she run and hide?

Cat was set on her rear as the boat sped towards shore. "Eep!" She righted herself and looked to the shore. "Marie, slow down! We're gonna hit--"

"Too late. The hit the shore.

Marie was thrown headlong onto the shore, sailing through the air, and landing with a satisfying THUD right at Malon's feet

The farm girl looked at the strangers with startled eyes.

Cat landed on her feet, naturally, and shook her head at Marie. "What next, girl? Are elves gonna start toing moo-juice around in wagons?" She noticed Malon for the first time and gaped. "Oh. I guess they are."

Marie's eyes widened, and her mouth followed suit, so much so that she resembled something of a fish.

"Y-you're Malon!" she fairly yelled, "From Lon Lon Ranch!!"

Malon was aptly startled , "...Do I..do I know you?" she said, puzzled.

"You'll have to excuse her," Cat said. "She's had a long day." She bent down to help Marie to her feet, whispering in her ear as she did so. "Don't lose control, girl. Act civilized."
